Going somewhere? Take the festival with you!

Going somewhere? Take the festival with you!

Welcome back to the festival that comes to you.  Thank goodness its Friday eh? It’s been a full on week. And the weekend will be just as busy with several weekend ‘specials’ on offer.  This weekend we’ll welcome Susan Price, Mari Biella and Jo Carroll to the event.  We’ll also be giving the ‘animals’ a place to call their own and we hope that last year’s ‘star’ Jack MacRoary may grace us with his presence.  But that’s  for later… today we start as usual at

11am with a McStory. Today it’s Greek as a foreign language by Andrew McCallum Crawford.

At 12 noon we get the weather from Derek. Or Shuggie. Or Derek. You never can tell with sheep.  They’re like the weather in that respect.

At 12.30 Guerrilla Midgie Press give you the opportunity to get your five a day for free. There may be no such thing as a free lunch but then again…

At 2pm Catherine Czerkawska has reached her final slot. She talks about collaboration and creativity.  We’ll be sorry to see her go. She’s off to the ‘real’ book festival next week. We hope she’ll keep popping back here virtually though.

At 3pm Cally Phillips continues with her drama (retrospective) residency with a move towards the absurd.  There is also another scene of We Wove A Web in Childhood to watch. And you can download the entire performance as an enhanced ebook from THE GOODY BAG if you don’t have the patience to watch scene by scene.

At 4pm Kathleen Jones will give her third workshop session, titled Narrative – Fiction or Faction – Prose or Poetry – how are you going to tell the story? Even if you aren’t handing in ‘homework’ you can still enjoy the workshop.

At 5pm Our Advocacy residency for Week One concludes with the follow up to We are Absolutely Not Okay, more teens tell their stories in ‘You’ve Got it all Wrong’

At 6pm Cally Phillips takes another step on the Blogging adventure with Part Two of three asking that perennial techno question – why won’t it all just play nicely with each other?

At 7pm Chris Longmuir our resident Crime Writer puts paranormal and supernatural crime fiction  under the microscope.

At 8pm we offer you a weekend mini-break with our Travel Writer in Residence Jo Carroll who will be here from now till Sunday.  Travel the world from the comfort of your ereader.

At 9pm Dennis Hamley concludes his supernatural residency with a free sampler of his newly launched Out of the Deep.

At 10pm Roz Morris picks another Undercover Soundtrack. Tonight we are with Linda Gillard. Enjoy.

And easing you into the night at 11pm Jian Qiu Huang engages you with another Conversation with the Universe.  Tonight he offers you some thoughts

Around the festival – don’t forget the Goody Bag. Free for the duration of the festival. And if you feel funny, you can still take part in the Comedy Sketch workshop. Just go to the Workshop, Comedy, Choices category. Or if that’s too many clicks, just click HERE and get ready to laugh. You’ll have to work for it though.
